Funding for queer film festivals through QueerScope
QueerScope has been committed to the funding and visibility of queer film festivals for years. With funding from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM), QueerScope supports independent film festivals that celebrate and promote the diversity of queer film culture.
Call for proposals for the 2025 festival funding programme
For the funding period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, funds of max. 132,000 euros are available for festival funding, subject to approval by the BKM.
Interested queer film festivals from Germany are invited to apply online for funding from QueerScope. The necessary information and criteria are set out in the funding guidelines, which are available here as a PDF:

Applications for QueerScope funding can only be submitted via an application form, which we provide here on the website. We look forward to receiving your applications and working together to promote an innovative and diverse queer film culture!
