35. Freiburger Lesbenfilmtage
The Freiburg Lesbian Film Festival is Germany's oldest lesbian film festival and one of only three festivals of its kind in Europe. It is held at the Kommunale Kino cinema in the Alte Wiehrebahnhof. Over the course of five days, the festival screens international lesbian cinema productions, including feature films, short films and documentaries. The audience votes for the best short film, feature film and documentary, which are awarded the "Golden Tanna" prize. The programme is rounded off by readings, parties, discussions and more. Since 2017, additional films and events have been presented as part of the "Herbstflimmern" programme. The festival is currently organised by seven women working on a voluntary basis.
