23. PinkPanorama Filmfestival Luzern
The PinkPanorama Film Festival Lucerne (CH) usually takes place in November and spans four to seven days each year. In 2021, the event, which has become an integral part of Central Switzerland’s cultural landscape, celebrated its 20th anniversary. Whether previews or reprises, feature films, documentaries or short films: The PinkPanorama Film Festival aims to represent the broadest possible spectrum of queer filmmaking and to do justice to the diversity of sexualities and gender identities.
Specific focal points are set on a regular basis, which are reflected not only in the selection of films, but also in panel discussions. The 2020 festival, for example, ran under the focus „Black and queer“ to raise awareness of the multiple discriminations faced by queer Black people. Other examples of focus topics include „Rainbow Families“ (2010), trans* (2013) and homophobia (2014).
Time and again, well-known personalities also pay their respects to the PinkPanorama Film Festival, such as the film and theatre director Rosa von Praunheim or the comic artist and author Ralf König.
In 2016, the PinkPanorama Film Festival was awarded a work contribution of 15,000 Swiss francs by the Canton of Lucerne in the category of cultural organisers.
