The QueerFilmFest Rostock creates a shared space for the lovers of queer films, and adds to Rostock’s cultural diversity. It also draws attention to the fact that people are still discriminated against because of their gender identity, sexual orientation or relationship choices.
Das diesjährige QueerFilmFest Rostock findet erstmalig im Lichtspieltheater Wundervoll statt, einem traditionsreichen Rostocker Repertoirekino. Die Tickets werden in 3 verschiedenen Preisstufen angeboten, aus denen ohne Nachweis frei gewählt werden kann, so dass das Festival auch für einkommensschwache Menschen erschwinglich ist. Alle Filme werden deutsch und englisch untertitelt gezeigt, auch die Bühnenmoderation und das Programmheft werden konsequent zweisprachig gestaltet.

Programme

The QueerFilmFest Rostock always takes place from Friday to Sunday. Several programme blocks are shown on each of the three days. There are long and short feature films, documentaries, animated and experimental films as well as music videos, including many non-German-language films.

We do Q & A sessions after the screenings with directors, actors or organizers of other festivals.
